FIAT inaugurates its first exclusive workshop in Pune

Mumbai, September 7, 2012: FIAT Group Automobiles India Private Limited (FGAIPL) today inaugurated its first independent state-of-the-art workshop -Millennium Drive Workshop in Dapodi, Pune. This will be FIAT’s first exclusive workshop in India. The 20,000 sq ft service utility with best of equipments and human dexterity is specially designed to give a delightful servicing experience to its customers. This is another move by the company in strengthening its brand presence in India, after having launched its Fiat Caffe in Pune a few months ago. FIAT customers would now be able to buy cars from the Caffe and will provide a fascinating FIAT buying experience.

 

The dealership was inaugurated by Mr. Ravi Bhatia, Head- Business Development, FIAT Group Automobiles India Private Limited and Mr. Neelesh Naik, Managing Director –Millennium Drive.

Fiat India: Atanasio, ''70-80 concessionari esclusivi per fine trimestre 2013''

Fiat intende aprire 70-80 concessionari esclusivi in India nei prossimi nove mesi dopo la separazione dalla rete di vendita comune con il partner Tata. Lo ha detto oggi all'ANSA Enrico Atanasio (NELLA FOTO) , vicepresidente della joint venture e futuro direttore di una nuova società posseduta al 100% dal Lingotto con l'obiettivo di creare una nuova rete commerciale e di introdurre altri modelli sul mercato oltre agli esistenti Fiat Punto e Fiat Linea. Il top manager, che si trova a New Delhi per l'inaugurazione di una mostra sulla tecnologia italiana nel nuovo "Fiat Caffé" aperto a gennaio in una zona centrale della capitale indiana, ha aggiunto che "dalla metà del prossimo anno gli esistenti punti vendita della joint venture saranno chiusi oppure assorbiti dalla nuova società". Proprio in questi giorni la casa torinese sta ultimando le pratiche per la creazione di una compagnia indipendente. "Non c'é ancora un nome, ma di sicuro conterrà le parole Fiat e India" ha precisato. A questo proposito, parlando a un gruppo di giornalisti indiani, Atanasio ha sottolineato che "la joint venture" con Tata continuerà a produrre veicoli e motori nello stabilimento di Ranjangaon (stato centrale del Maharashtra) che "lavora a piena capacità per quanto riguarda la produzione di motori diesel". Rispondendo a una domanda sulla diversificazione di modelli oltre il segmento B e C e lo sbarco di altri marchi tra gli 11 del gruppo torinese, ha detto che "probabilmente in futuro potrebbe essere portato Jeep di Chrysler". Ma "la priorità è ora di costruire un network di saloni e di officine post vendita per sostituire quello esistente con Tata".
